  • When should i get my puppy vaccinated? 
    • Puppies 6-8 weeks of age and older are able to recieve the DHPP which is, distemper, parvo, hepatitis and parainfluenza. This is a very important vaccine for your puppy as these viruses can be life threatening. They will need to come back in at ages 10-12 weeks for a booster and again at 14-16 weeks for their final vaccine booster. 
    • At 12 weeks of age they are able to recieve the Rabies vaccine, which is required by law. 
  • When should i get my kitten vaccinated? 
    • Kittens 6-8 weeks are able to recieve the FVRCP vaccine. Which stands for feline viral rhinotracheitis, calici and panleukopenia. This is a very important vaccine for your growing kitten. They will get this vaccine boosted at 10-12 weeks and again at 14-16 weeks. 
    • At 12 weeks your kitten will be able to recieve the Rabies vaccine, which is required by law. 

  • What are some other vaccines my Dog can get?
    • Bordatella, which protects against kennel cough and is usually required if your are boarding your pet.
    • Leptospirosis, which is a good vaccine for dogs who spend a lot of time outside with wildlife, as the disease is transmitted through lakes, streams and puddles where wildlife urinate. 
    • Canine Influenza, which is another vaccine that may be required if your pet were to be boareded in a facility that has the possibility to transmit the virus. 
    • We are also offering a Rattlesnake vaccine, that slows the spread of the venom should your dog get bit. You will still need to seek veterinary care as soon as you realize your dog has been bit.
  • What are some other vaccines my cat can get?
    • We offer a Leukemia vaccine for your cat which is an important vaccine due to the fact there is no cure for the disease should your cat contract it. 

  • Besides vaccination, what other things does my pet need? 
    • We reccomend a yearly deworming to keep your pet free of tapeworms, roundworms and other parasites that can effect their health.
